What a wonderful start to the hockey season. This was our first outing for the U10 girls, and also the first time playing a fixture in the Middle School on half a pitch. All 14 girls played, swapping teams after every quarter. There was some lovely defensive play by Charlotte, Tessa and Penelope and great mid-field action by Ana and Sasha. Calli made an excellent captain, managing some good team decisions and ensuring that everyone had a turn playing in their favourite positions, whilst working for the good of the team. Brighton Girls started more confidently, with an early 2:0 lead, but we warmed up into the game with 3 goals coming in quick succession in the final quarter. Well played girls.
