Match Report
Farlington School Girls-U15D vs  Downsend School
On: Tuesday, 11 Feb 2025
Venue: Away

It was a game of two halves for the U15D team, who played an exciting and competitive match, but ultimately fell to a narrow defeat. In the first two quarters, both teams were evenly matched, going goal for goal as the intensity remained high throughout. The team worked excellently both on and off the ball, with great driving into space and some fantastic interceptions that led to quick counterattacks. Bella and Madi were particularly impressive in the final third, combining well to create several scoring opportunities. Meanwhile, Lucy, Jamie, and Bella put relentless pressure on the opposition, winning the ball and moving it forward quickly. In defence, Annabel stood strong as Goalkeeper, keeping a very lively Goal Shooter at bay with solid positioning and great timing. However, as the second half unfolded, the team began to show signs of fatigue, and despite their best efforts, they struggled to maintain the same level of intensity. Despite the loss, the U15D team should be proud of their performance, particularly in the first half, where their teamwork, energy, and commitment were evident.
