Match Report
Farlington School Boys-U11A vs  Great Ballard School
On: Wednesday, 25 Sep 2024
Venue: Away

2 wins in 2 games for the U11 team and momentum is firmly with the team going into the ISA tournament in a weeks time. This match was a close one, with both teams playing some excellent footbal land putting pressure on the opposition. It was great to see confidence across the whole team on the ball who showed their intention early to try and play from the back, Alec, Rafferty, Thomas and Finn did well with this. The first goal soon came as Bailey was played through brilliantly and struck well to put the team 1-0 up. Ballard started to put pressure on, but Farlington then defended slightly deeper and counter attacked well with Bailey managing to add another goal to the tally from a fast break. AJ and Bertie kept width well, and attempted to implement the overlapping runs throughout the half. Changes were made through the game and each player had a strong impact with Jesse coming on to score a goal and Lawson remaining strong in defence. Rafferty then added a fourth to ensure victory for the team.
