An excellent match for what was most of these girls first ever competitive netball fixture. They all played so well and really together as a team. From the moment Candela scored the first goal of the match they were in it to win it and they fought the whole match to win. Led by Captain Yara in Centre, who played so well jeering her team on and making herself present everywhere on court, the girls were off to a winning start leading the match 3-2 after the first quarter. Haydi and Verdi played really well on the wings and Alexis made some flying interceptions in GD. Martina made some crucial interceptions as GK earning herself defender of the game. Candela scored all eight goals with some superb shooting earning herself attacker of the game and was also helped in the circle by Ana Sophia. It came down to the final minutes where we went one goal behind but then levelled the match 8-8 in the final seconds. A really exciting match where everyone played so well and with such great spirit. Yara finished the match saying "that was the best fixture I've ever played!" Well done Farlington!
