The sides were split to two different teams for the games at Pennthorpe and on pitch 1 saw Farlington control the majority of the game with some excellent possession and pressing throughout the 3 periods. The football on display from Farlington was really positive, in the first third Eddie, Lennox and Jamie combined well throughout the game to create chances for the team which were well stopped by the opposition keeper. Gabriel, who had a quiet game in goal up to the end of the third was alert and made a really good stop to keep the scores level. In the second third, the passing and moving continued well but more width was utilised with Beaux and Tristan finding space to dribble, cross/shoot. On one ocassion Beaux did well to dribble past three players, cut inside, with his shot going just over. 0-0 into the final third. The pressure and control finally showed, when Lennox broke through the midfield and ran at the defence, his strike was too powerful for the keeper 1-0 Farlington. Shortly after the opposition took the most of a rare opportunity on the break, a slight mix up in defence saw the scores level again. The team remained calm, and still utilised their passing and moving then with 3 minutes to go, Jamie receives a pass, turns and dribbles at the defence before being taken down in the box, Penalty. Jamie stayed calm under pressure and slotted the penalty into the corner to give the team a well deserved 1-0 win.
