Lots of positives to take from the first fixture of the season for the U13B team. After a difficult start to the game, the team worked hard to play simple football, and this had a great impact on their confidence. A few excellent passing routines, with James, Ollie, Feyi and Jude spearheading the attack led to a few chances and in the first half the opposition keeper made some great saves while James and Jude between them managed to hit both posts and the bar. At the other end, Rafferty made some great saves in goal and Freddie, Hayden, Ted and Connor made some vital defensive tackles. In the second half the football went up another level and team played some really good passing and moving football and eventually the search for a goal was complete, with Ollie striking from the penalty spot. A good foundation to build upon as we start the season.
